Palworld crude oil: rigs, farm spots and the triple node
Crude oil comes two ways in 1.0 — raiding rigs or extracting it at a base. Here's the earliest rig and the best triple-node spot.
Crude oil in Palworld 1.0 has two supply lines, and knowing both is what keeps your ammo and high-tier crafting from stalling. The first is raiding the oil rigs dotted around the map — the chests and enemies there drop crude oil. The earliest one, the Test Drilling Rig, sits northeast of the Sealed Realm of Frozen Wings fast travel and is tuned for around level 30, so it's reachable well before endgame.
The second line is passive extraction: set up a base on a natural oil node and let extractor machines pull it while you play. This is where location matters. The best oil base in the game is on Mount Obsidian's far western shore, at coordinates -855, -455 — it's the only spot where three natural oil nodes fit inside a single base radius, so one base triples your output. Sakurajima Island in the northwest is the other strong region if you'd rather set up there.
The play is to do both at the right time: raid the Test Drilling Rig for a burst early, then convert to the Mount Obsidian triple-node base once you can defend it, so crude oil stops being something you chase and becomes something your base produces in the background.
