A landmark and a boss with the same name
Shinespore Root confuses players in Palworld 1.0 because the name means two things at once. It's a landmark — a root of the World Tree, sitting south of the Gilded City Ruins in the endgame biome — and it's also the only place you'll encounter the guardian Pal Silvance. So when you search for it, you're usually after one of two things: how to reach the spot, or how to catch what lives there.
Where it is, and when you can reach it
The Shinespore Root sits inside the World Tree region, in the far northwest corner of the map. To even get there you need to have cleared the faction towers and progressed the endgame questline — this is level-78-and-up territory, not somewhere you wander into early. If you're following the veteran route, reaching it is part of the guardian sequence, laid out step by step.
The fight, and why Silvance is worth capturing
Silvance itself is a Grass-type World Tree Field Alpha boss. On the rush it's one of the three World Tree guardians you have to beat to open the second barrier — Fire is its counter, the same team that clears the other Grass guardian, Dandilord. Beyond the fight, Silvance is a genuinely strong late-game base worker: Planting level 6, Handiwork level 6, and Medicine Production level 8 make it worth capturing if your base runs on farming and crafting queues. The alternate route to one is hatching a Huge Verdant Egg, though the odds there are brutal.
Exact numbers before you go
At the Shinespore Root you fight the "Immortal Shade Silvance" boss at level 78, so bring an endgame Fire team. Silvance is Paldeck No. 193, drops a Giant Pal Soul and an Ancient Civilization Core at 100%, plus World Tree Holy Water and a Grass Radiant Gem on the level-70 table. If you'd rather breed one, the Silvance + Silvance self-combo out of a Huge Verdant Egg is the reliable path once you have a first copy.
This page covers getting there and winning the fight. The full stat line, work suitability, every active skill and the breeding pairs live on the Silvance field profile, linked below.
The detail most guides miss
Silvance's partner skill, Spore Stalwart, grants immunity to the World Tree's Explosive Spores while it's in your party (it also boosts damage against Ivy-Covered enemies). That's a real quality-of-life win in a biome built to punish careless movement — one more reason to capture it rather than only breed for its base stats.
