The World Tree Corrosive Mist Mask paradox, and the raid that breaks it
The mask that protects you from the World Tree's corrosive mist needs a resource you can only mine inside it. One lightning raid solves it.

The catch-22
The World Tree opens with a genuine catch-22: the Corrosive Mist Mask that lets you survive the irradiated biome needs 30 Paloxite plus 10 Toxin Filtering Membrane, and Paloxite only exists inside that same biome. There's no way to prepare around it in advance — you have to go in unprotected at least once.
The first raid, without the mask
The answer is a single lightning raid without the mask. You take continuous HP loss the whole time, so you go in light: a fast mount, full heals, a straight line to the first deposit, exactly 30 Paloxite, and back out. Two extra wrinkles most players miss: Paloxite deposits vanish on touch unless you're under the World Tree Holy Water buff, and you need a Plasma Multicutter to mine it — a standard pickaxe simply won't work.
Where the membrane comes from
Toxin Filtering Membrane, the mask's second ingredient, drops separately from the Dandilord field boss in Rotmist Root — a different trip from the Paloxite run, so plan for two separate stops rather than assuming one raid covers both halves of the recipe.
Farming it properly, once you have the mask
Once the mask is crafted at the Ancient Workbench (tech level 76), the biome becomes farmable — and the reflex that separates a smooth farm from a frustrating one is drinking Holy Water before you reach a deposit, not after. Its buff is what stops the resources from vanishing, and it only lasts about 30 seconds, so time your approach to the deposit rather than drinking it early and wasting the window.
