Two sub-missions, both optional
“Beyond Dimensions” is accepted from an NPC at Fisherman’s Point in Mount Obsidian. Finish it and “From the Far Side of the Moon” becomes available — they are a pair, in that order.
Both sit outside the main mission chain, so an existing save loses nothing by ignoring them. If you have already cleared the campaign, they are the only genuinely new content in this patch.
Base Pals stop picking the wrong skill
Summoned and Base Pals now favour the skill expected to deal the most damage rather than cycling through whatever is off cooldown. Charging-type skills were given their own behaviour pass, and the odd pre-attack backstep on some moves is gone.
This changes nothing about your roster on paper — no stats moved, no work suitabilities changed — but the same team should measurably out-damage what it did on 1.0.3.
Fishing, retuned rather than patched
The Sunreach and World Tree fishing spots had their difficulty adjusted specifically, and the amount you get from a successful catch now varies more clearly by bait tier. The minigame itself gained control guides, warning displays and a recommended-equipment readout.
A World Setting for fish behaviour during the minigame was also added, which is a fair signal that Pocketpair does not consider the difficulty question closed.
Two NPC requirements changed
The Pal Critic in Sakurajima now wants Dogen instead of Selyne, and the one in Sunreach wants Faleris Aqua instead of Bastigor. If you were part-way through either, the target moved.
Small change, but the kind that reads as a bug when you turn up with the Pal a guide told you to bring.
