Palworld 1.0.5 fixes the blurry-texture bug that looked like a settings problem
Hotfix 1.0.5 landed a week after 1.0.4, as build 1.102.999, and it is two fixes long. One of them explains a complaint people have been misdiagnosing as their own hardware since 1.0.4.

The texture bug that looked like your own hardware
Terrain, buildings and other surfaces could load at significantly reduced resolution for some players. The bug does not announce itself — there is no error, no warning, just a world that renders muddier than it should.
That is what made it expensive. The natural reaction to a game that looks wrong is to suspect your own setup: graphics presets, GPU drivers, the texture streaming budget on console. Players were changing settings that were never the cause, on a problem that shipped with 1.0.4.
There is nothing to configure on your end. Install 1.0.5 and textures load at full resolution again.
Map icon filters no longer reset when you die
Some map icon filters could switch themselves off after a respawn. Filter the map down to fast-travel points and dungeons, die, and the map comes back showing markers you had deliberately hidden.
On a map the size of 1.0 that is a real interruption rather than a cosmetic one — death is already a reset of position and gear, and re-filtering the map on top of it turns a quick recovery into a detour.
Nothing on this site changes
No Pal stats moved, no unlock levels changed, no cost or mission content was added. Every level requirement, tech unlock and time estimate on this site still reads as it did on 1.0.4, and both routes are untouched.
The version tag across the site moves to 1.102.999 because that is the build the values were last checked against — a record of the review, not a record of a change.
Two patches in eight days is the stated policy
Pocketpair has still given no date for 1.1, and has said that version is deliberately smaller in scope than 1.0. The cadence since launch matches what the studio described it would do in the meantime: ship smaller patches more often rather than go quiet before one large release.
1.0.4 on September 7 and 1.0.5 on September 14 is that policy working as described. Tokyo Game Show runs September 17 to 21, so the next thing to watch is a show floor rather than a changelog.
