Palworld news today: latest v1.0.1 patch (July 18)
Palworld v1.0.1 remains the latest official patch on July 18. Here is what it fixes, what it does not change, and what players should do next.

As of July 18, Palworld v1.0.1 is still the latest update confirmed through Pocketpair's official Steam announcements. This is a post-launch reliability hotfix, not a new content drop. No newer official patch was listed at publication time, so any version number circulating beyond v1.0.1 should be treated as unconfirmed until Pocketpair posts it.
The official notes confirm two fixes. The first addresses a case where save data could be unintentionally discarded after certain operations. The second stops the Burning status from continuing after contact with a campfire. The save fix is the important one for returning players carrying a long-running world into 1.0.
Before loading an important old world, let the game update fully and make a manual copy of the save outside the Palworld installation folder. Dedicated-server groups should also confirm that the server and every client are on the same release before resuming a shared world. If that save used Early Access mods, keep them removed until their authors explicitly support 1.0.
Pocketpair's notes do not announce new Pals, balance changes, progression requirements or route changes in v1.0.1. That means the Newcomer and Veteran routes on this site remain structurally unchanged. This is an inference from the published patch notes, and the route data will be reviewed again when the next gameplay or balance update lands.
