Palworld Online vs Palworld Mobile: two different mobile games, and neither is the one you are playing
Garena announced Palworld Online in early August: a licensed mobile MMO for Android and iOS, due in 2026. It is not a port of Palworld 1.0, and it is not the same project as Palworld Mobile, the 3v3 PvP game Pocketpair is making with Krafton.

Two mobile games, not one
The confusion worth clearing up first: there are two separate Palworld mobile projects in development, and they have almost nothing in common beyond the licence.
Palworld Online is Garena's MMORPG — a persistent open world with co-op and PvP, made by a Singapore studio under licence from Pocketpair. Palworld Mobile is a casual 3v3 PvP game that Pocketpair is building with Krafton, and it has no gameplay trailer yet. Different developers, different genres. If you see a headline about 'Palworld on mobile', check which one it means before drawing conclusions.
A licensed spinoff, not a port
The other common misreading is that Palworld itself is coming to phones. It is not. Palworld Online is a different game with an original narrative setting, released under licence rather than developed by Pocketpair.
Practically: do not expect your Paldex, your base or your save to carry over, and do not expect the 1.0 map or the World Tree endgame to appear. Whatever it ships with will be its own content.
What Garena has actually confirmed
The confirmed list is short and structural: a seamless, interconnected open world, co-op base-building, group hunts for rare Pals, boss raids, PvP matches, and a touch interface with optional one-tap controls. Platforms are Android and iOS, with a 2026 window and no firm date. It is explicitly not scheduled for PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo consoles.
That describes a persistent multiplayer world, which is a genuinely different design from the main game's private-world-with-friends model.
What nobody knows yet
Still open: the exact release date, the regions, and the monetisation model. Garena said it 'can't say much more than that for now'. Pocketpair's own news page carries no post about either mobile project, so the whole story currently rests on Garena's reveal and the coverage of it — reports even differ on whether that landed on August 2 or 3.
The monetisation gap deserves patience rather than speculation. On a free-to-play mobile MMO, that design shapes progression, capture rates and endgame pacing more than any feature list does. Until Garena publishes it, any claim about how grindy or generous the game is is guesswork, and we would rather say so than fill the gap.
It changes nothing for Palworld 1.0
Pocketpair's plan for the main game is unchanged: free content updates covering bug fixes, balance, new Pals and multiplayer polish, with no paid DLC announced. Licensing an IP to a mobile studio is a parallel business arrangement, not a redirection of the development team.
Everything on this site — the Newcomer and Veteran routes, the tier lists, the Paldex and the interactive map — describes Palworld 1.0 on PC and console, and will keep doing so. If Palworld Online turns out to warrant its own coverage once it actually ships, that will be a separate section rather than a rewrite of this one.
