Legends Awaken lands October 30, and the first set's supply problem is the story
Booster Pack 02, Legends Awaken, releases worldwide on October 30 with 100 card types plus parallels, and preorders are open. What makes that date matter is what happened to Dawn of Palpagos: 3.5 million packs sold before launch, then months of empty shelves.

What is actually in the set
100 card types across RR, R, U and C, plus parallel variants. The five colours from Dawn of Palpagos return: Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Colourless. Worldwide simultaneous release in three languages on October 30.
Bushiroad's own product page carries the standard caveat that design and specifications are subject to change. The set size and the date are the parts to plan around; anything finer than that can still move.
The first set is why the preorder matters
Dawn of Palpagos sold over 3.5 million packs worldwide through preorders, before launch day. That number sounds like good news until you are the person walking into a shop in August wanting a box.
Bushiroad's Japanese account apologised publicly on August 12 for a continued stock shortage. A restock hit pop-up stores on the evening of August 14, with boxes deliberately sold without shrink wrap so resellers could not flip them sealed. Single cards were going for four figures within a day of launch.
Preorder or pay the secondary market
There is no clever strategy here, which is exactly why it is worth stating plainly. The preorder window is the only reliable route to sealed product at retail price, and it is open now for an October 30 release.
If BP02 repeats BP01's pattern, the shelves will be empty within days and the alternative will be paying whatever the resale market decides. Anyone who lived through the Dawn of Palpagos launch already knows this; anyone arriving fresh from the video game probably does not.
It has nothing to do with your save
The card game is Bushiroad's, made under licence from Pocketpair. It shares Pals and artwork with Palworld 1.0 and nothing else: no account link, no codes, no in-game rewards, no progression that crosses over in either direction.
Mentioning it because the question comes up every time a game gets a card game. If you only play the video game, BP02 changes nothing for you. If you collect, the October 30 date and the open preorder window are the two things to act on.
