Eight fights, eight Key Spheres, no farming
Every tower boss in Palworld 1.0 hands you a Key Sphere on the first clear, and you need all eight to open the final door at the World Tree. There's nothing to farm — the spheres come automatically — so the whole thing is really a checklist of eight fights in the right order. Miss one and the endgame door simply won't open.
Note the fight timer was cut from 10 to 5 minutes for 1.0, and every tower boss was rebalanced — older Early Access notes on these fights no longer apply.
The eight bosses, in order
The eight in order: Zoe & Grizzbolt, Lily & Lyleen, Axel & Orserk, Marcus & Faleris, Victor & Shadowbeak, Saya & Selyne, Bjorn & Bastigor and Auri & Shaolong. The first six sit across Palpagos; the last two gate the endgame. Treat any level number attached to these fights as a rough guide, not a hard requirement — sources disagree slightly and normal-mode levels differ from hard-mode variants.
The two that trip people up
The two that trip people up are numbers seven and eight. Bjorn & Bastigor is the Feybreak tower — beating it is what unlocks Sunreach, because the portal to the sky islands sits at the top of that tower. There's no other way up. Then Auri & Shaolong lives on Sunreach itself as tower eight, and clearing it is what puts you on the Panthalus questline toward the World Tree.
The World Tree door and the final boss
So the checklist reads: six Palpagos towers, then Feybreak to open Sunreach, then Auri on Sunreach for the eighth sphere. With all eight banked and the Sealed Calamity questline done, the World Tree door opens for the level-80 final boss, Zenara & Astralym, fought in the Sealed Sanctum.
Astralym is typeless — no elemental weakness to lean on — and drops to a self-destruct phase around 30,000 HP with roughly a 20-second window to finish it before it goes off. Bring a fast flying mount (Jetragon is the community pick) to dodge its laser attacks. Astralym itself cannot be captured; clearing the fight rewards Ancient Technology Points, the Dark Skill Fruit: Psycho Gravity, and Zenara's Hat.
